The Vienna Center for Engineering in Medicine (ViCEM) will hold its biennial meeting on 3-4 November 2026 at TU Wien, this year also celebrating the 10th anniversary of ViCEM.
ViCEM brings together researchers from TU Wien and the Medical University of Vienna working at the interface of engineering, medicine and life sciences. The two-day programme will feature scientific talks, rapid-fire presentations and posters, providing opportunities particularly for young researchers to present their work and establish new interdisciplinary collaborations.
Keynote lectures will be given by Verena Charwat (JKU Linz), Manuel Garcia Villalba (TU Wien), Dinesh Katti (North Dakota State University) and Tobias Winkler (MedUni Vienna), covering topics ranging from engineered human tissue models and patient-specific simulations to biomaterials for tissue regeneration and translational musculoskeletal medicine.
With its strong focus on interdisciplinary biomedical research, the meeting also reflects the close links between ViCEM and the Austrian Cluster for Tissue Regeneration and their shared aim of connecting expertise across engineering, medicine and regenerative research.
