Open Positions within the Research Group “Senescence in Tissue Regeneration”, led by Dr. Mikołaj Ogrodnik

The Research Group “Senescence in Tissue Regeneration”, led by Dr. Mikołaj Ogrodnik, is seeking to hire a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher (40 hours/week) as well as a Pre-doctoral Researcher (30 h/week) to study tissue damage response, particularly cell fate determination following skin injury in situ. Based on their recent discovery that the p-rpS6-zone predicts a range of damage responses (Ring, Dworak et al., 2023 Dev Cell), they are now aiming to establish how the heterogeneity of cellular phenotypes—such as proliferation, senescence, and differentiation—upon damage is established what mechanisms determine this heterogeneity, and how we can modulate it for improved tissue repair and regeneration as well as to counteract tissue pathologies.
More information about the group’s research profile can be found via their NCBI Collection.

Moreover, the research group is looking for a part time (20 hours/week) Lab Technician. Using methods of molecular histology and animal physiology, the lab is researching a wide range of tissue damage responses, especially in relation to regeneration, healing, cellular senescence and aging.

All three positions offer a multiple-year contract. Five weeks of paid vacation time are included. The PreDoc and PostDoc researcher will be eligible for career development support from the LBG’s inhouse career service (LBG Career Center).
