In course of this year’s annual meeting, a new applicant presented his outstanding research and was unanimously accepted into the Cluster: Francesco Moscato is an Associate Professor at the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, Medical University of Vienna (Austria). His research focuses on medical 3D-printing as well as cardiovascular system dynamics. In course of the Additve Manufacturing for Medical Research (M3dRES) project, he is looking into how 3D-printing could improve surgical and interventional procedures, medical device prototyping, tissue engineering and medical education.
Also new to the Cluster is Cubicure, a company co-founded by long-term member Jürgen Stampfl from TU Vienna. With its innovative Hot Lithography technique, Cubicure makes high performance polymers available for industrial additive manufacturing. The company offers a wide variety of products and services: printing site, custom-made materials, its own software and, last but not least, its extensive know-how in the field of 3D printing.
Welcome to the Cluster!
