Updated Springer Reference Work on Peripheral Nerve Regeneration Now Available

The scientific reference work Peripheral Nerve Tissue Engineering and Regeneration has been updated and is now available online. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of current developments and technologies for the repair and regeneration of peripheral nerves. The editors are James B. Phillips, David Hercher and Thomas Hausner.

The book is part of Springer’s Reference Series in Biomedical Engineering, within the Tissue Engineering and Regeneration subseries, for which Prof. Heinz Redl serves as Series Editor. Former Director of LBI Trauma and founder of the Austrian Cluster for Tissue Regeneration, Heinz Redl played a key role in establishing this international book series. Developed in collaboration with Springer and the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), the series brings together contributions from international experts in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

A special feature of the series is its continuously updateable format: existing chapters can be revised and new contributions added as scientific knowledge and technologies evolve. This approach helps ensure that the reference works remain relevant in a rapidly advancing research field.

Peripheral Nerve Tissue Engineering and Regeneration covers a broad range of topics related to nerve regeneration, including the peripheral nerve environment, research models and methods for assessing regeneration, biomaterials, therapeutic approaches and clinical translation. The interdisciplinary reference work is aimed at researchers and clinical professionals from academia, industry and healthcare.
